The ₹350 FASTag Local Pass
If a toll plaza sits between you and everything you do — work, school, the market — you are paying full toll on a road you use like a local street. The local pass turns that into a flat ₹350 a month with unlimited crossings.
What it is
- ₹350 a month, prepaid.
- Unlimited crossings at that one plaza for the month, subject to the prevailing rules.
- For residents living within a 20 km radius of an eligible plaza.
- For local, non-commercial vehicles rather than every highway traveller.
- Extended to 121 toll plazas across India.
How to apply
Entirely through the RajmargYatra mobile app. There is no plaza visit and no physical paperwork: the application uses consent-based access to DigiLocker and VAHAN to verify your residential address, your vehicle registration and the FASTag linked to that vehicle.
The digital local pass runs at 121 plazas, not everywhere. The 20 km radius is measured against an eligible plaza, so living near a toll booth is not by itself enough.
Local Pass or Annual Pass?
They solve different problems. The local pass is unlimited crossings at one plaza — ideal if a single booth sits between you and your daily life. The ₹3,075 annual pass covers 200 crossings across NHAI plazas nationally, which suits long-distance driving. If you cross the same plaza twice a day, the local pass is almost certainly cheaper.
What you still need
A working, KYC-complete FASTag on the vehicle. The pass is a layer on top of the tag, not a replacement for it — a blacklisted tag with a valid local pass is still a blacklisted tag at the lane.
